Liberon Spirit Wood Dye is an ethanol based traditional dye ideal for use on hardwood furniture such as mahogany and oak. It's also ideal for renovating previously finished woods and for furniture or antique restoration. It comes in a range of colours that can be mixed to suit your needs.

Preparation
Ensure the area to be treated is clean dry and free from dust. The surface must be clear from any other finishes, wax, grease or oil. Sand thoroughly and remove any dust.
Application
Before applying the product test a small area on the surface to be dyed to ensure you are happy with your results. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.
- Shake well before us.
- If using one or more tin mix together for a uniform colour.
- Apply using a brush or cloth.
- Apply liberally working in the direction of the grain.
- Allow to penetrate then remove the excess with a clean cotton cloth.
- For a stronger colour allow to dry for 4 hours and apply a second coat.
- Leave to dry for 6 hours.
Tip: Liberon Spirit Dye can be finished with a water-based varnish, wax, oil or French Polish. Caution must be taken when using French polish and Shellac base sealers as over brushing may remove the stain.
